Every winter I go through a slump of feeling less confident. I’m no longer tan from summer and not spending a lot of time outdoors. However, I’ve learned a few tips and tricks to help boost my confidence in the winter. They’re quite simple and very effective! These are also some great new years resolutions as well!
Practice Self Care
Make sure you care for your body. Eat well, move your body, and make sure you get sleep. Take some days for yourself too to pamper and treat yourself with whatever you prefer!
Build Positive Relationships
Make sure you surround yourself with people who bring you up, not put you down. Spending less time with people who bring you down, has been proven to increase confidence.
Challenge Yourself
It can be intimidating to try new things. However, learning new things that seem challenging to you can boost your confidence. You’ll learn how capable you are as long as you set your mind to something!
Practice Self-Affirmations
Tell yourself your strengths and how confident you are. Self-affirmations can help maintain self-efficacy, which is the key component of confidence.
You won’t become the most confident person over night. These things take time. The biggest thing you need to realize, is that you were made to do amazing things. Go out of your comfort zone, and let yourself thrive.
