In today’s world, may people including myself, hear about thousands of new health trends and shocking medical information while scrolling through social media. It is hard to know what is true and what is not. With Tik-Tok being many people’s new social platform, thousands of new trends and hacks have been on the rise. From turning your beat-up T-shirt into a going-out top to learning how to properly flip a fried egg, Tik-Tok has become a platform for learning beneficial trends and hacks to make life a little less stressful. Thousands of Tik-Tok users have been posting about the shocking health benefits of using liquid Chlorophyll.
What is Liquid Chlorophyll?
Chlorophyll is a substance that gives plants their green color such as spinach, beet tops, broccoli, and Tuscan kale. Chlorophyll is an antioxidant that is said to boost your health. Many Tik-Tokers have mentioned that since they had started adding liquid chlorophyll to their diet, they had seen positive changes in regards to their odor, gut health, energy, weight loss, and complexion. Many chlorophyll fanatics had recommended taking chlorophyll supplements in liquid form; adding chlorophyll droplets to their water, smoothies, and even their coffee! There only seems to be a small amount of evidence that can back up the benefits of liquid chlorophyll. Some research shows chlorophyll skin products could potentially fight acne but very limited evidence about weight loss.
Can I Consume Chlorophyll Naturally?
The answer is yes! Many people who consume chlorophyll as a liquid are consuming a slightly larger amount than someone who consumes chlorophyll from eating their fresh greens. The good part about consuming chlorophyll naturally is not only are you consuming chlorophyll but you are also consuming other vitamins and minerals as well as fiber. Maximizing the number of different vitamins and minerals is important. Many people get sidetracked by these trends and forget that they still need to exercise and eat a nutrient-filled diet to stay healthy and feeling good. Even I had fallen into this trend and had lost the motivation and importance of ingesting these vitamins and minerals naturally and continuing with the level of physical activity I was once at.
Do I Hop On Or Not?
I would say do what you feel is right for your body! Making sure you do your own research is important. As long as you remember to stay active and to maintain a healthy amount of vitamins and minerals, I don’t think including liquid chlorophyll will do any harm. I believe all the nutrients your body needs are in the grains, greens, and fruits provided on this earth! Trying something new can always be exciting. With this trend becoming more and more popular, I am sure more beneficial information and evidence will be released!
