Ever feel like you’re in a rush to get to your first morning class of the day with no time to spare to have breakfast? Look no worries, as I have four of my favorite, quick and easy on-the-go breakfast ideas that will make you feel full and satisfied, and packed with nutrient-density!
Vanilla Protein Greek Yogurt Bowl
Greek Yogurt Bowls are one of my favorite, high protein breakfast meals! I like using any plain Greek Yogurt, and adding one scoop of vanilla protein powder (I personally use the Orgain Organic Vanilla Protein Powder!). I like to top the yogurt with a crunch of granola (the Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Protein Granola is one of my favorites), a sprinkle of cinnamon, a drizzle of honey, and the key to it all is sprinkling chia seeds to boost not only the protein content, but also the essential omega 3 fatty acids to support your brain and heart health!
Peanut Butter Toast
I am a peanut butter lover, and there is nothing I love more than adding peanut butter to a warm slice of toast in the morning. Similarly to the Greek yogurt recipe, adding a drizzle of honey, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a sprinkle of chia seeds will make the toast so much more enjoyable, sweet, and hit your carbs, protein, and healthy fats satisfaction!
MUSH Overnight Oats
These are one of my go-to’s, especially when I have less than 5 mins to get out the door! My favorite is the strawberry flavor, and each container contains about 5g of protein, 30g carbohydrates, 4g of fiber, and 0g added sugars! This is also a great, light-breakfast option before a workout! Add in some of your favorite toppings like granola, chocolate chips, hemp or chia seeds, or a scoop of protein powder to make it more satisfying!
Lox Bagel
Bagels are delicious with cream cheese or butter, but it does not always keep you full and satisfied. One of my favorite ways to add some nutrient density is making a Lox bagel! Spread a good amount of cream cheese on toasted bagel pieces, add some slices of smoked salmon to cover the bagel, add some mixed greens for some extra fiber, and add a drizzle of balsamic glaze makes for a delicious, savory breakfast in a couple of minutes!
