“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.” – C. JoyBell C.
Powerful right? The topic of change has been on my mind a lot lately. Change for the good and change for the better. Looking back over the past five years or so, there have been a multitude changes in my life. Change is a natural part of life. If this is true, then why is it so hard? I’ll be the first to admit that change terrifies me. I think it has to do with fear of the unknown. What if I fail? What if the change makes my life more difficult? But then I realized – every change that has occurred in my life has brought me to where I am today. Those changes molded me into the person that I am today.
Without change, how are we supposed to become the best version of ourselves?
Just like the quote by C. JoyBell C. states, to live we must grow. The only way to grow is to change. And in order to change, we must learn new things, take changes, and get out of our comfort zones. Which, yes, is terrifying. However, instead of thinking about the worst thing that could happen, what if we imagined the best thing that could happen? What if we changed our mindset? “If I make this change, my life could improve exponentially. It could be the best decision of my life”. By changing our mindset, we can change our lives. When we change our lives, we are one step closer to being the person we are meant to become.
Just some food for thought.
