Walking Pads Are In!

Smiling female standing near workplace desk with laptop starts workday with morning coffee mug. Pensive dreamy young caucasian woman looks in distance lost in thoughts, pondering, visualizing.

October 9, 2023 //  by Emily Hayburn

Have you noticed the recent trend of walking pads? I don’t know about you, but I see it all the time on TikTok. Especially since a lot of jobs nowadays are remote, these walking pads are a great investment. Most people sit at a desk and work for hours on end. Your body needs to move throughout the day and a walking pad can help you achieve that!

Benefits

  • Better mood
  • Improved sleep
  • Stronger joints
  • Less stress
  • Lowers risk for cardiovascular disease

How Often?

  • Walk at least 30 minutes a day
    • You can split this up into 3-10 minute walks or however you see fit
  • Aim for 5 days a week

It is recommended that people exercise 150 minutes a week at a moderate intensity. However, people are easily tired from working all day and don’t want to exercise after. However, with a walking pad you can walk and work at the same time! Plus, exercising will help you avoid that midday slump and make you more productive!
