The little decisions you make throughout the day can make a huge impact. You might not realize the small decisions you have each day. Let’s take a step back and find a few ways that you can get your body moving more throughout your everyday life without going to the gym or a fitness class.
Take the Stairs
- Always opt for walking up or down the stairs. Elevators and escalators can be very tempting to use, but using the stairs more often will benefit you more. It will help build your endurance and help you get your steps in for the day!
Stand at your Desk
- Many people still work remote jobs. If you work from home, I highly suggest getting a standing desk. Stay on your feet! It will help improve your posture and your body will have better blood flow compared to sitting!
Walking Pads
- Again, if you work remote walking pads have become very popular! With your standing desk, you can add a walking pad right underneath! It allows you to walk while you work. It’s an amazing way to get your exercise in while getting your job done!
Stand Up at Least Once an Hour
- If a standing desk or walking pad is not possible for you, try something a little different, and simple! Stand up from your desk at least once every hour. It is easy to get caught up in work and remain in the same seat for hours on end. Stand up, stretch, and get your blood moving, you’ll thank yourself!
