Best Fitness Tracking App

sport, fitness, technology and people concept - young woman with heart-rate watch and smartphone in gym

December 16, 2024 //  by Emily Hayburn

As someone who goes to the gym 5 days a week to lift, I found it difficult sometimes to keep track of my progress. However, a few months ago I found an app called HEVY. It changed my workouts. Through this app, I can track each exercise, set, rep, and weight. It makes your workouts easier to track and congratulates you for new achievements at the gym. Here is a little more about what this app does.

Workouts

They have so many pre-set workouts in the app. They include free weights, cables, and machines! Even if you can’t find the exact workout you are looking for, you can create your own within the app.

Total Volume

When you add a workout, you add how many sets and reps you do as well as how much weight you use. When you finish the workout, it calculates the total volume you lifted. It will then give you a comparison. For example, there was one time I lifted a total volume of 18,000 lbs and it told me I lifted an elephant that day!

Visuals

Also at the end of the workout, it gives you a few slides of visuals. One is a diagram of the body’s muscles and it highlights the muscles you targeted that day. The other is the same diagram, but it shows the muscles you’ve targeted throughout the entire week.

I definitely recommend giving this app a try! It’s free and very fun to use! It’s so nice too because you don’t have to remember your weights for every workout, they stay in the app for you to see! You can also add friends on it and they appear on your feed! It’s basically a social media for workouts!
