If you’re anything like me, going to the gym most days doesn’t sound like the best time. That doesn’t mean there aren’t other ways to get a daily workout in. Summertime gives us the perfect excuse to get outside and get moving. Sometimes it’s nice to switch up your workout with a new place, environment, exercise, or friend. The great thing about exercising outdoors is that you can get creative with how you want to workout. The options are essentially endless–hiking, swimming, biking, paddleboarding–you name it. However, if you’re having some trouble finding new places to workout, I’ve got just the thing for you.
All Trails
A few years ago, I found an app called All Trails. All Trails makes exercising outdoors so convenient. It pinpoints your location and generates a list of all hiking, running, and biking trails in your area.

Once you put your location into the search bar, a list of nearby trails will appear (second screenshot). You can see it’s location, difficulty level, and the trail’s rating. Pick whichever trail looks good to you.

Now that you’ve picked a trail. You can see a full description, distance, and reviews. To go along with the reviews, you can also see the pictures and trail recordings from other people who have been there before. These are nice features to the app because you have a better idea of how long/intense the trail can be beforehand.
All Trails can be a great resource for finding a new place to exercise and explore (you might forget you’re even exercising). Bring a friend, family member, or pet–whatever company you need to get moving! (Have fun with it. It’s summer.)
