I know a lot of people choose camps – they are either coffee people or tea people. However, herbal tea is something both parties should try to get on board with because herbs are truly amazing when it comes to aiding certain ailments. If you fall into the “coffee or die” camp, this might sway you!

Try This Herbal Tea If You:

  • Can’t sleep: Chamomile, Passion Flower or Valerian Root
  • Have an upset stomach: Peppermint, Ginger, Fennel or Licorice
  • Have anxiety: Lemongrass, Lemon balm, Lavender, Ashwagandha or Tulsi
  • Have a cold: Echinacea, Eucalyptus, Elderberry Flower or Linden Flower
  • Need Antioxidants: Rooibos or Rosehip
  • Have inflammation: Cinnamon or Turmeric
  • Have a headache: Chamomile, Turmeric or Peppermint
  • Have PMS or cramps: Raspberry leaf, Chaste berry or Hibiscus
  • Have an androgen hormone imbalance: Spearmint
  • Have a UTI or Bladder infection: Cranberry or Marshmallow Root
  • Are feeling down or depressed: St. John’s Wort or Echinacea

In addition to all of the above uses, many of the herbs listed are also believed to reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease, lower blood sugar, and have cancer-fighting properties!! SIGN ME UP! Some other benefits of drinking multiple cups of herbal tea a day:

  • Clearer skin (!)
  • Hydration (unlike coffee or caffeinated tea)
  • Typically safe to drink many cups throughout the day
  • Added vitamins and nutrients to your day

Of course, I am in no way advocating for using herbs in place of seeing your doctor (you still need to do that!) but adding herbal teas to your daily routine could have some amazing benefits. Nature really knows what it’s doing – the next time you have an issue, try grabbing some herbs instead of over-the-counter pills and see how you feel!
