The Fall is here. The leaves are beginning to change colors, it’s beginning to get colder, and the sun is starting to go down sooner. As this is a beautiful time of year, it can make training a little more difficult. Staying motivated in your training in the Fall can become difficult. Here is how to make the most out of this beautiful Fall weather while getting the most out of your workouts by staying consistent.
Deal with the Sun:
It’s already happening. The sun is starting to go down earlier, and it’s starting to get dark out before many of us end our work day. This can change your workout schedule. Determining whether you are a morning person or a night owl will help you maintain your consistency. If you feel tired after work, lose motivation because it’s already dark out, and just don’t feel like working out, you may want to give working out in the morning a try.
Enjoy the Weather:
Fall is a beautiful time to be outside with the leaves turning color and the cool crisp air. Take advantage of this time being outside if you can, whether it’s during the week or just on the weekends when you have more time. Perform some body weight workouts or even take a run through the trails. Being able to get outside and get some sunlight will help keep your motivation to go to the gym and get your “swole” on.
Home Fitness:
Staying consistent during the Fall isn’t going to be perfect, and that is fine. We all have those days after work when it’s already dark out, and we just think, “I don’t feel like going to the gym.” Well, that’s okay. Home fitness is a great way to go home and still be able to get a great workout in. There are tons of workout videos out there that will help you stay consistent for those days that you just want to go home.
